The Artist

With flowing strokes of a palette knife, I blend primary colours to create vibrant intertwining contours with unpredictable colour combinations. A splash of warm colours forms an exhilarating focal point, in pleasing contrast with cooler atmospheric backdrops. The transience of nature intrigues me, the way it is constantly changing and evolving. I am drawn to the sky with its shifting moods and extraordinary cloud formations Particularly the way it appears reflected in bodies of water, an upside down world full of mesmerising patterns and dancing glints of sunlight. 

The intense beauty of the natural world is a constant source of inspiration and so is my emotional response to it. I am constantly trying to forge a deeper connection with nature which produces a sense of wellbeing and feelings of belonging that I try to convey through my abstract paintings. As the boundaries between self and nature dissolve I cannot help but feel a part of something much greater than myself.
